Alex Riseman

He has developed an extensible deep learning framework for medical image analysis that has been successfully applied to the detection of lung nodules and pulmonary embolism in CT scans. Previously, he was a data scientist at McMaster-Carr Supply Company, where he developed a deep-learning-based e-commerce search engine, a system for conducting and analyzing randomized controlled trials of website changes, and a number of other machine learning applications ranging from warehouse operations to product presentation. Alex holds a master’s in data science from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s in economics and applied math from Northwestern University.
