Michael A. X. Izatt

chief data scientist, Industrial & Applied Mathematics, Hitachi Consulting Corporation.
Trained as a theoretical chemical physicist, Max applies mathematics, physics, and computational quantitative methods to large data sets at rest and ultra-fast telemetry streams in-flight to develop predictive insight for problem sets in finance, manufacturing, and government. His group has been very prolific in detecting change points in megabit-per-second IIoT telemetry streams in the Fog layer at the factory edge for use cases such as proactive energy management, workplace safety, demand/consumption forecasting, and supply-chain optimization. Max is a member of the MIT Educational Council and a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. He is an alumnus of MIT and the University of Chicago.
